The thematic online event of the Central Danube Development Agency on 27 April 2023 was very closely related to the implementation of the Hungarian action plan of the eBussed Interreg Europe project. The action plan advised progress in two areas: on the one hand, in the domestic application of digital solutions for electric bus transport, and on the other, in the overview of different charging infrastructure solutions and the exploration of their realistic application possibilities in Hungary.

The participants in the expert consultation represented consultants and manufacturers of electric bus transport who shared their information and views on the following topics:

Prim-Vol Trade Kft.: the role of Solaris electric buses in the greening of settlements,

BYD Electric Bus & Truck Hungary Kft.: the Chinese manufacturer’s emobility solutions and development directions,

Ikarus Electric Zrt.: Ikarus charging concepts and their realistic application possibilities,

Omnibusz Hungária Kft.: e-mobility solutions of Daimler Buses.

The chief executive officers s of Tüke Busz Zrt. (Pécs) and Kaposvári Közlekedési Kft. presented their experiences in electric bus transportation, and especially e-fleet management of their respective cities.

The professional preparation and moderation of the event was carried out by the staff of Clean Future Concept Tanácsadó Kft.

The expert consultation was also important because of the electromobilisation of public transport in the Central Danube Priority Area, where mainly the needs of small settlement should be taken into account in addition to the characteristics of the city axes along the Danube.

The eBussed project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary within the Interreg Europe Program.
