Although the Medtech4 Europe project officially closed its five years implementation on 30 November 2022, the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency (STRIA) accepted the invitation of the Central Danube Development Agency (CDDA) to showcase the results obtained during these past five years.

On 7 December 2022 at Kalocsa, in the South Great Plain Region a half day professional event was organised around the topic of elderly care and in support of the communities dominantly made up of elders (defined as 50-55 – 65 years of age) and pensioners (defined as the 65+ age group). STRIA was one of the speakers and in such capacity highlighted the results of the development of the Hungarian medtech sector in service of the mentioned age categories. The STRIA presentation was centred on the enhanced cooperation of medtech companies, the improvement of skills and knowledge of medtech companies’ staff, and the innovation showroom for medtech novelties including home care solutions.

The CDDA organised event was held in a district seat town of Kalocsa, where the population is dominantly ageing and the health condition of these people is in need of elderly care solutions. Therefore the audience was made up of social care organisations, local municipalities and service providers for elders.

The Medtech4 Europe project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary.
