Within the Regions 4Food Interreg Europe project, an agricultural higher education master’s degree program from Spain will be implemented at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE). The preparation of this experimental activity took place during July-August 2022 with the involvement of specialists from the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency and the University of Seville.

The lessons to be held by Spanish university lecturers will take place on the MATE Kaposvár Campus in between September 28-30, 2022. The English language lectures will focus on topics of the following areas:

  • smart monitoring,
  • geomatics, drones,
  • integrated farm management and innovation,
  • robotics,
  • data analysis,
  • precision farming and information technology,
  • smart irrigation systems.

Furthermore, considering that the famous Kaposvár Animal Husbandry Days will begin on September 30, 2022, on the second day of the program series (October 1, 2022), experts from key domestic enterprises representing the above topics will present the Hungarian practices applied in the concerned fields.

Lectures by both Spanish and Hungarian speakers can be visited free of charge at the MATE Kaposvár Campus.

The Regions 4Food project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Hungarian State
