On 30-31 March 2022, the Province of Utrecht and the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht hosted the Interreg eBussed Good Practice event. The project supports the transition to zero emission public transport in six different European regions.
Information on the project can be found here.
The event was also attended by staff from the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency and two representatives from Tüke-Busz Zrt.
The programme:
Day 1 – Tuesday 29 March
In the morning, several experts presented interesting good practices on the introduction of e-buses in the Utrecht region. There will be many opportunities for interaction on topics such as monitoring the performance of e-buses, smart charging, spatial planning, zero-emission policy for public transport and many more. In the afternoon we took an e-bus on a tour, visited depots with charging facilities near Utrecht and visited the TRIBUS factory. In the evening we had dinner in the historic centre of Utrecht.
Day 2 – Thursday, 31 March
On 31 March, all partners in the eBussed project presented good practices from their respective regions. During the break, we went on a tour of the nearby new railway station area: the largest railway station in the Netherlands, the world’s largest bicycle parking, the heart of the national public transport system and good practice in sustainable urban land use development. We closed the meeting with a workshop on regional action plans. The meeting closed at 17:00.
The eBussed project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary.
