Linked to the Regions 4Food project, the South Transdanubia Regional Innovation Agency participated in the “ProAgro – Provision of Professional Innovation Services for the agri-food industry in Southern Hungary” event organized by the innomine Digital Innovation Center and the iFood Cluster. the event was hybrid, and was broadcasted live from the MATE Kaposvár Campus on 8 March 2022.

The aim of the event was to present the ProAgro project and those services and tools that the consortium members use to provide personalized services to agri-food companies and related stakeholders in the development of their business, products and / or production, or their processes to make those more competitive.


The ProAgro project itself is co-financed as part of the SmartAgriHubs “SERVICE the SmartAgriHubs Community Network Open Call”.


The iFood Food Cluster brings together regional players, creates opportunities for knowledge sharing and disseminates ProAgro good practices. Through its international projects and access to innovative technologies, innomine, as a Digital Innovation Center, is able to provide services to domestic agricultural operators that can increase their competitiveness both domestically and internationally.


The objectives of the PROAGRO project are based on regional needs:

  • fostering cooperation between agri-food ecosystem actors by bringing together producers, service providers and technology providers, support organizations (e.g. innovation agencies, digital innovation centers), universities and research organizations, ensuring the value of the whole agro-ecosystem,
  • support services for agri-food stakeholders and related social networks to digitally innovate and transform their products, processes or business and management models,
  • introduction of digitization solutions; encouraging and supporting their use, in a comprehensible form, presenting local and international good practices to local businesses,
  • supporting and making agri-food businesses competitive by offering a business-centric, service-oriented, service-oriented approach to digital innovation development.
