After a long time, at the end of June 2021, South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency participated in a live meeting again. The event was jointly organised by the Institute of Transdisciplinary Research of the University of Pécs and EIT Health. The Morning Health Talks series aims to promote collaboration and communication between industry players. The theme of this year’s event was “Good Health – Good Business”, which focused on showcasing digital solutions for healthcare.

Participants were also invited to a short visit to the Pécs Bishop’s Palace, followed by a short welcome speech by Dr. Attila Sík, Head of the Institute for Transdisciplinary Research. Afterwards, Dr. Noémi Liber, Deputy Director of the Institute, presented their work. Four speakers then gave interesting presentations on different topics.

First, Dr. Antal Zemplényi, Head of the Department of Pharmacoeconomics, Department of Pharmacoeconomics, Faculty of General Medicine, University of Pécs, presented the potential of exploiting the value of clinical data to promote R&D&I activities. Afterwards, Mr. Antal Kuthy, CEO of E-Group ICT Software Zrt. gave a short presentation entitled “Knowledge from data: innovation data repository in the service of research excellence at the University of Pécs”.

After a short break, two foreign speakers joined the event online. First, Mr. Jussi Matta, the founder of Buddy Healthcare Ltd. in Finland, gave a presentation entitled “Building an International Health IT B2B SaaS Business: Case Buddy Healthcare”. Last but not least, Ms. Sarah Haywood, Managing Director of Medcity, UK, shared her experience in digital data processing and use in healthcare.

The event ended with a delicious lunch and informal discussion.
