On May 19 2021, STRIA South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. participated in the “Webinar on Ecosystem Brightlands”, an online event organized by Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus within the Medtech4 Europe project.
The webinar was moderated by Simon van Trier, who, after a short welcome, introduced his first two guests Bas Peusens and Marga Poulssen-Bessems.
The event started with a short video introducing Brightlands. The moderator then started the discussion with perhaps one of the most important first questions: what was the main motivation for embarking on such a big project?
The programme lasted about two hours and could be divided into three main blocks. In the first part, Brightlands was discussed as a triple helix ecosystem. This included concept, cooperation, governance, timeline and the future.
The second session was about stakeholder engagement, governance and the business model of the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus.
The third and final section looked at new partners and new projects. More on how to choose the best public-private partnerships (PPP) for an ecosystem.
The guests of the show were Bas Peusens, Marga Poulssen-Bessemes, Dirk Plees from the province of Limburg, Yvo Graus from Brightlands, Rogier Receveur from Medtronic and Kurt Gielen from Medace.
Throughout the programme, participants could ask questions or add comments online and the moderator and participants would answer them together at the end of the session.
The Medtech4 Europe project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary within the Interreg Europe Program.
