On 22 September 2020, the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Europe Programme held a webinar on how to design and implement action plans. External expert of the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency, Dr. Gabriella Baráth attended the event.

At the beginning of the event, Verena Priem, Policy Officer of the Joint Secretariat opened the webinar. Following that Nicolas Singer, Head of Unit – Projects & Platform of the Joint Secretariat presented the programme level expectations for action plans. At first, he talked about the background and definition of actions plans. He then introduced the template for the action plans and gave some hints on how to design them. Such factors as all contextual parts constituting the template, the clear links of each action to the project activities, ensuring the precise nature of each action, and focus on implementation related actions were highlighted.

As a closure of the webinar, Lorenzo Sabatini, Head of the Research-Technology Development and EU Project Area of the Joint Secretariat, gave a short presentation on the assessment of the action plans. First he talked about how we imagine that in theory, and then introduced how it happens in reality.

The webinar was useful for the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency as several of our projects, including Medtech4 Europe, are actually in the action planning phase. It has provided useful hints and pieces of information that we can use to finalize our medical technology focused action plan.

The Medtech4 Europe project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary within the Interreg Europe Program.
