The interregional partnership of the Medtech4 Europe project attended the medical technology study visit on 15 October 2019 in Pécs, Hungary. As a follow-up of this experience exchange, the researchers of the Biomedical Engineering Project of the University of Pécs made initial enquiries towards the knowledge partner of the Medtech4 Europe project, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The electrodiagnostic medicine technique, the electromyography (EMG) stands in the focus of the proposed cooperation, whilst the development of surface electroencephalogram (EEG) classifier for muscle movement is also a key area for further observation.

Supporting the further establishment of the cooperation, the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency, being the Hungarian partner of the Medtech4 Europe project, organises a staff exchange program at the Grenoble premises of CEA to facilitate University of Pécs researchers to obtain hands on French experiences in the above mentioned fields. The staff exchange is due in the very first months of the year 2020.

The Medtech4 Europe project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the State of Hungary within the Interreg Europe Programme.
