The South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. (STRIA)  with two colleges from the Tolna County Development Agency  and one representative from the Ministry of Finance has attended on a training in Brussels, – organised by Interreg CE FIRECE project – which was focused on  the implementation of innovative financial instruments and the assessment of energy savings  projects  of  small  and  medium-sized  enterprises.

The „Train the trainers” course was hosted by FI-compass. FI-compass is a platform for advisory services on financial instruments under the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF). FI-compass is provided by the European Commission in partnership with the European Investment Bank. The main objective of FIRECE project is to increase capacities of regional operator to manage Energy Plans particularly on the financial resources locally available to enhance the investments in renewable energy by Industry, especially SMEs. The training seminar was providing practical know-how and learning tools – especially how to monitor Energy plans, to develop ex-ante assessment procedures, financial schemes and to assess regional investments to Industry on Energy Efficiency / Renewable Energy Source. As project partner with the learned experience of the two-days training, STRIA will implement a pilot action in the South Transdanubian Region. The first steps are already done.
